01Connections and provider brands
Google Chrome and Gemini
Chrome's built-in Prompt API provides optional on-device inference. Google sign-in uses Google's original preapproved button artwork and is available when configured. Google, Google Chrome and Gemini are trademarks of Google LLC.
Ollama
An optional, separately installed local model runtime. Ollama software and each downloaded model have their own licenses. A runtime's license does not grant rights to every model it can run.
OpenCode Zen and Go
Optional model connections offered by Anomaly Innovations, Inc. Zen is metered separately from Locale. Go is a subscription with shared, model-dependent usage limits. Free and Contributor models can have different data-use terms; review the selected model before sending it information.

Grok and xAI
Optional xAI API or Grok Build connections. Grok's brand is governed by SpaceXAI's published guidelines. Locale's direct API connection currently selects Grok 4.7; other Grok entries in the comparison are provider catalog references. API prices do not describe Grok Build subscription limits.
OpenAI
OpenAI models can be accessed through a selected provider connection. The separate Codex integration is planned and hidden by default. OpenAI, ChatGPT and associated marks belong to OpenAI; their inclusion does not imply a partnership.
Kickbacks.ai
Optional sponsored placements through the Agent, provided by ShiftKeys Inc. Kickbacks.ai controls its own eligibility, advertising, reporting and payouts. Locale does not promise earnings. The original Kickbacks.ai favicon identifies this integration.
GitHub
Source hosting and deployment automation where configured. Access is governed by GitHub's policies and the permissions granted to the integration.
02Hosting and account services
DigitalOcean
Hosts the dedicated website and account service.
Cloudflare
Provides configured DNS, Workers, R2 storage, hosted-site delivery and optional aggregate page analytics.
Vercel AI Gateway
A configured model gateway for account inference. Catalog visibility alone does not enable account inference or paid services.
OpenRouter
An optional account model gateway supported by configuration; availability depends on enabled services.
Stripe
Handles subscription and credit purchases, invoices and payment methods. Locale does not collect payment card details.
Porkbun
Domain registration and configured domain services.
Boat by ASCII
A planned worker-service integration for eligible paid accounts. Selecting a Locale plan alone does not activate it.
Resend
An optional email delivery adapter; the current configured email relay remains separate.
Account email
The configured email relay delivers verification and recovery messages. These service messages contain account information needed for delivery, not chat prompts or responses.
03Model creators
The catalog includes models from these creators and xAI. Gateway availability implies no direct integration or endorsement. Licenses, acceptable-use rules and regional restrictions vary by version. Experimental creators may be undisclosed.

04Search sources
When you request web search, the Agent can query DuckDuckGo and use Google News or Microsoft Bing RSS results. Search queries go to the selected search service; original articles and result text belong to their respective publishers. These queries are not sent to Locale's analytics or public request counter.

05Model comparison information
Models.dev, created by OpenCode, provides supplementary model capability metadata under the MIT license. Vercel AI Gateway's own catalog supplies Locale Inference model identifiers, prices and routing capabilities. The homepage shows up to 15 choices per provider; chat availability follows the current gateway catalog and account access.

Rates are a dated reference in USD per million tokens. Caching, context tiers, promotions, provider fees, tool calls, taxes and subscription limits can change actual cost. Go's model usage values share its subscription allowance; they are not separate balances. For Go's DeepSeek models, the published peak windows are Monday to Friday, 01:00–04:00 and 06:00–10:00 UTC. Check the provider's current terms before use.

Inter by Rasmus Andersson, JetBrains Mono by JetBrains and Archivo by the Archivo Project Authors are self-hosted under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. Locale serves two static instances of Archivo, named Archivo Display and Archivo Wordmark. Their original copyright and license notices are included in Locale's third-party notices.

07Open-source software
Locale is built with React, TypeScript, Bun, Electron, Tailwind CSS, Base UI, Radix UI, Lucide, Monaco Editor, and other libraries. Lucide includes icons derived from Feather; its supplied notices cover both. The browser workspace also uses tools including esbuild, Vue and Svelte.
The dependency inventory lists this release's versions, declared licenses and original notices. Runtime components retain upstream notices. The inventory does not license model weights or service accounts.
